Yes, a radio family member from China had a four day visit at our station for a purpose. She is Ms. Jacqueline Leung of The Voice of Mary, Radio Maria, Macau. And yes… she is still single if that is of interest to you! She came over to observe and learn the workings of Radio Maria Philippines so she can share it to the Voice of Mary, in Macau, China where she is the overall coordinator.
She arrived last August 11, 2016 fetched by our Bro. James Magpayo at the Clark International Airport. She had her first taste of Filipino food at her first lunch in the Philippines courtesy of BOT Secretary Fanny Salon. After a short rest, Ms. Jacqueline spent the next three hours on lectures from our coordinator, Tito Jun, from the Admin Head, Ms. Jo dela Cruz and, of course, from the National Promoter, Crisbert Salvador and at 5:00 she was brought along by Bro. Marisol Magat for a taste of remote broadcast preparation and actual live broadcast of the 5:30 mass at the Tarlac Cathedral. In the evening she was able to meet the members of the Board of Trustees as she was treated to a sumptuous dinner at a fancy restaurant.
The following days were busy for our visitor as she underwent a hectic schedule of training and observing the various operations of the radio station under the watchful eyes of our technicians Bros. James Magpayo, Marisol Magat, Randolf Abaricio and Jun Cochon after, of course, the introduction of Fr. Raymund Cruz about the Charisma of Radio Maria Philippines and its fund raising activities.
August 14, Sunday, was a sad day for Radio Maria staff as it is Ms. Jacqueline’s farewell day as Jo dela Cruz and James Magpayo, together with some volunteers as sendoff team, drove her to Clark International Airport for her return trip home in China. We will miss her for sure!
